Almost 90% of internet users prefers chrome(a web browser) for browsing. It has a lot of unique and helpful features for browsing. One of them is the Lite mode. It saves user data while searching in the internet. 

Lite Mode Reset is a feature of Chrome browser that is used to delete the data saving history as well as the list of visited sites. New statistics will be automatically recorded after resetting your light mode statistics.

If you don't want to record any statistics, turn off the lite mode. Lite Mode Reset also protects your privacy by deleting your history. 

How lite mode saves your data ? 

Lite mode compresses the webpage and ultimately consumes less data to load the website in your browser. Some of the user's traffic passed through google servers. Google can manipulate the webpages you see. Google servers make the website simpler for faster loading. 

Some of the images might appear blurry. Extra animations are also removed. Website will almost look similar even in the lite. Websites will be fully functional even in the lite mode. Urls of your searched websites(websites with https) are sent to google servers for modifications but google claims that our cookies always remains safe. 

Lite mode didn't work if you are browsing in incognito mode. You can also face problem with some services of your service provider. You can face problems while loading the webpages in your local area network like your office or school. Webpages which uses user's location to  provide services may not work properly. 

How to turn on lite mode in chrome for android 

Step 1: Open google chrome, click on the three vertical dots on the top right corner of your screen. 

Step 2: A pop up will appear on the right side of your browser . Scroll down and click on the settings option. 

Step 3: On the next page, scroll down and click on the lite mode option. Then switch on the lite mode. 

Visit to some websites. Then,comeback on the lite mode's page. Now you can see how much data you had saved while browsing through chrome. If you want, you can reset the statistics. It will free up some space in your browser.

You won't get much use out of resetting the Lite mode statistics. You can only save some space for your browser. If you have a good internet connection, then turn off the lite mode. Lite mode is only beneficial if you have a bad network connection in your area.
