How to open youtube in chrome browser not in app? 

You must have observed that whenever you try to open YouTube in chrome browser, you are redirected to the YouTube app. This is so much annoying when you are redirected to the YouTube app. This is also the same case with the YouTube studio. If you have have YouTube studio app already installed in your device, you will be redirected to their app instead of using it in chrome. Desktop version of YouTube offers more features than the YouTube app. You may want to open YouTube in chrome due to these features. 

YouTube is the second most visited site in all over the world. It is a video sharing platform.Youtube got 21.9 billion monthly visits in 2021. YouTube is owned by Google. You can also say that YouTube is second search engine after Google.Nowadays, people prefers to watch videos rather than reading long articles. It saves a lot of time and energy of a user. YouTube pays well to it's contributors. YouTube shows relevant ads to their users. Advertisers also prefers to spend money on YouTube ads because these ads are targetted and convincing. You can easily upload your videos in YouTube to share the video to anyone in the world. 

YouTube can be easily opened in chrome through two simple methods.These are :

1.Through incognito mode 

2.Through settings 

1.Open YouTube in chrome browser using incognito mode:

1.Open chrome browser in your android or ios device. Click on the three vertical dots present on the top right corner of your browser. A pop up will appear on the right side of your screen. 

2.Click on the "New incognito tab" to open an incognito tab in chrome.

3.Search for youtube.com to open youtube in the incognito mode. You can also try to open youtube by opening youtube links. Now, you can easily browse or watch youtube videos.

But in incognito mode you have to sign in with your google account to like or dislike anyone's videos. You will not be able to manage your youtube channel until you sign in using your google account. You cannot upload,like,dislike, comment and delete any video. 

2.Open youtube in chrome browser(or any browser) through settings:

You may face difficulties while searching for these settings because settings may vary in different devices. You have to search for "Opening links" option. You can easily find this setting in your app settings. You can also find this setting in advanced options of your device. Most probably, you will find this option around the "Default apps" option. If you Xiaomi devices, then simply follow these steps :

1.Open settings in your android device. Click on the "app" option and a new page will appear. 

2.Scroll the opened page and find "Manage Apps" and click on it. Click on the three vertical dots present on top right side of your screen. 

3.A small pop up will appear with different options. These options are "Hide system services", "default apps", "reset app preferences" and settings.

4.Click on "default apps" to open a new page.In this page, you can set default apps for messaging,chrome,browser and many more. 

5.Scroll down and click on the "Opening links" option. Another page entitle "Opening links" will appear. 

6.Scroll the page and search for YouTube app under the "Installed Apps" section. Click on the youtube app. Another page will appear. 

7.You will find "Open supported links" button below the icon of the YouTube app. It You will find three different options and these are:

(a) Open 

(b) Ask everytime

(c) Don't open

8.You can click on "Don't open" option to open youtube in chrome(or any browser) instead of app. 

You can also click on "Ask ever time" according to your need and convenience. This feature allows you to select the app where you want youtube links. Whenever you try to open any youtube link in your device, your operating system will ask for preferred app to open the link. If you click on "Open" option, you will be automatically redirected to the youtube app. When this option is enabled, you will be unable to open youtube in chrome or any browser.Now you will be left with only one option to open youtube using incognito tab.
